They towed my car!

I got a registered letter today, from a towing place. Burning with curiosity, I ripped it open, to read that they had my car. I looked out into the central parking area and saw that yes, it was gone.

It had a flat tire and the tags were out of date, but that's because we haven't been able to afford to get it fixed. Evidently being broke is becoming unlawful behavior. If it's my car, I live here, and it isn't impinging on anyone else, then how can they have it towed? I will have to pay ransom to get it back.

I'm trying not to let this be a nightmare for me. I will just deal with each aspect of it as it arises. I did manage to enjoy myself at the game today. The anger, frustration, and sadness about the situation with the car did raise itself to mind a few times, but I managed to separate from it and let it go, focusing on other things.

The elf and Aegis weren't there today, but the rest of us managed to finish the adventure we started last week and then begin a new one. The dice hate Mizar it seems; he couldn't make a good roll all night. Sully and I are Aasimar, who have some sort of angelic influence in the genepool somewhere along the line. So we kind of leak good all over the place. This was a problem for the mission we were on, because the place we were assigned to go is full of evil people and we were conspicuous. Ironically, that same racial background made us very important later because we could see in the dark. There were ample opportunities for role play and combat. It was a lot of fun.

I could say a lot more, but it's after 11:30pm and I have got choir practice and then church tomorrow. So I have to go.

  1. Dear Jokamo,

Yikes! It might have to do with the fact that it looked abandoned because of the tags and tire. In our neighborhood, they get upset about old cars that don't run being in your own driveway. So, i understand the frustration, it was on a parking space you are allowed since you live there.

Glad you were able to have a good time anyway, and hope this gets straightened out soon.
