My sister's Christmas gift to us was delivered today: a new bedframe, mattress, and boxspring. It is legitimately the nicest bed I have ever had. I've only sat upon it for a minute, hardly daring to sink into the surface, but I intend to go in there shortly and stake out some territory. It is so big and solid that I have declared it Fort Bed.
Tonight Jon and I went to WalMart together and then to get coffee at T-Bone's. It's funny, but he is 22 and I think of him as being so young, yet my father was the same age when I was a year old.
Tomorrow night is the ScienceCafe event about art authentication technology, and it looks as though I will be going alone. That is okay, too. The subject matter is intensely interesting to me, and I will be glad that I went. I am grateful that Angie sent me the link in an email. I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series. Next month's topic is obesity, which is obviously a subject close to my heart.
I am forcing myself to move when I don't want to, to do things when I don't want to, to keep going when I want to stop. I am trying to change as much as possible as fast as possible, and I am very tired. So for tonight, it is finally time for me to be allowed to try out that bed.
Dear Jokamo,
ReplyDeleteHooray for a new bed! You will be amazed at how much difference a good bed makes in the quality of your rest.
Art authentication technology sounds like something i would love to hear about, too. Enjoy!
