Getting up has been such a misery lately. I am not a 6:30am kind of person, I'm rather more of a night owl. But I have to work, and I'm going to try to go to bed by 9pm every night for the next 2 weeks to see if that makes any difference in how I feel.
I feel like a little old lady going to bed at sundown. It's so un-cool. But there is no one to try to impress. If I had a family, I would regard any chance at all to go to sleep early as a great gift. There are all kinds of people who would dearly love to be able to pack it up early. And it might help me feel better, so I'm going to do it.
Day 3 of baby-wash and apple cider vinegar rinse has gone pretty well. My scalp is not itching as much, still have some body itching, but it's all much better. I don't smell like vinegar after my hair dries, so that's one more thing I don't have to worry about. I hope the soap I ordered comes soon so that I can try using that and see if my skin responds well to it.
Adult Forum was cancelled tonight because of bad weather. Who knows if we'll actually spend any time at all on Job now, because there are so many other books and not a lot of time between now and Lent. The email cancelling the meeting didn't give any assignment to read any of the other books, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Dear Jokamo,
ReplyDeleteThat saying of Poor Richard (Ben Franklin) about early to bed and such -- well, it really is true. It is so much easier to accomplish more if you get up early and well rested. Even natural night owls, if they can adapt themselves to getting up at the same time of day, 365 days a year, and going to bed early enough to get enough sleep by that time the next morning, find it increases productivity and makes them feel better.
Glad the baby wash and vinegar is working, and hope the soap works out, also the Forum.
